Program Description:

National Veterinary College of Toulouse (ENVT)ENVT 1

Opened in 1828, the National Veterinary College of Toulouse or L'École Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse (ENVT), which is the oldest grande école (a part of the education system characterised by highly selective recruitment, progressive specialisation and strong links with research and industry) in Toulouse, has trained more than 15,000 veterinarians. It is one of only four veterinary colleges in France.

The College is located on a 56 hectare campus at Lardenne near the city of Toulouse.  It has an animal hospital available to the public, an equestrian centre, a student city, a university restaurant, a student union and many student clubs.

Toulouse is a large city in the south-west of France, with approximately 1.2 million people in its greater metropolitan area. It is situated on the River Garonne. It is only an hour or two from the Pyrenees mountains and the Mediterranean coast, and only about three hours to the Atlantic coast. Barcelona is within easy reach for a day-trip or weekend.
