Program Description:

Bocconi UniversityBocconi

Bocconi University, known officially in Italian as Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, was established in Milan in 1902, with a generous endowment from Ferdinando Bocconi, a wealthy merchant after whose son it was named. The idea of creating a school of commerce attached to the engineering school at the Milan Polytechnic was to meet two requirements: to equip engineers with a sound commercial knowledge and to promote the status of accounting through a university education.

Bocconi University became the first Italian institution of higher education to grant a degree in economics.  It currently offers degrees in Finance, Economics, Management, Statistics, Law, Social Sciences and the Humanities. Today about 14,000 students attend Bocconi University's campus located in the historic centre of Milan.
